As it is, milk is an excellent source of nutrition; and has rich contents of high quality protein, calcium, riboflavin, magnesium, phosphorus, niacin equivalents, vitamin B12, vitamin B6, vitamin A, as well as Vitamin D, along with a number of other minerals.
However, apart from the above benefits, milk is also considered, an important way of losing weight; and although, there is still no concrete proof in this regard, many people continue to believe it. As it is, many people also feel that, milk does not help you to lose your weight in any way. In fact, some even feel that, milk actually increases your weight.
Despite this many a people argue that, milk is an essential commodity and should not be done with, especially because of its weight loss properties. The following are some points, in their argument:
- It should be mentioned here that, although raw milk still has no proof as such, to justify it as a weight loss tool, yoghurt on the other hand has been an important source of calcium. Along with that, it contains ample quantities of yeast, which also helps in improving your digestion system. Apart from that, yoghurt is also said to improve the metabolism rate of the body. This would mean accelerated fat loss.
- Skimmed milk can help in weight loss in a number of ways. Apart from being low on fat, it also has substantial quantities of protein. As you know, protein helps in building the lean mass of the body. With an increase in lean mass, the average consumption of calories inside the body increases. This means, that you would lose weight, even when you are watching a movie, along with your girlfriend.
- Apart from that, many people believe that milk is a great appetite suppressant. This means that, the more you drink skimmed milk, the less hungry you feel. So, a glass of skimmed milk right before your meal would help you in controlling your hunger pangs and consequently save you from overeating.
- Apart from these, milk has the additional advantage of flushing out the impurities from the digestive tracks, which again is very beneficial for improving the metabolism rate of the body. An improved metabolism rate definitely is good for your weight loss. This is because, when the metabolism rate of the body increases, the calorie consumption, even in idle state increases. This means that, you lose weight, even when you are doing nothing.
- Not only this, milk is also considered to be excellent in improving the stamina of the human body. Therefore, the more the milk you have, the more the stamina to undergo rigorous workouts.
As it is milk has many unproven benefits in regard to weight loss; and even if you do not agree, nevertheless, milk would remain to be an excellent source of nutrition.
